Power of the Bear
A community teddy bear donation initiative that offers comfort to families experiencing the loss of a baby.
Sadly, everyday families leave our local hospitals with empty arms and a broken heart because they have lost their precious baby. Staff at the hospitals give a teddy bear to help fill those empty arms. These teddies are given, never to replace, but to represent a very wanted, loved baby.
You may have received a bear when you lost your baby and have experienced some of the healing the bear provided. If you would like to donate a teddy in your child’s memory, please bring one to the candlelight service and Patti will forward them to the hospitals.
We will have special handmade tags available that you can attach to your bear. You may then personalize it with your own message and possibly your child’s name.
